I was so exhausted from all the new humans, puppies and places that I
crawled into the shower and laid down.

Free reign of the house
So, yesterday, my mom put me in the bathroom with a baby gate in the door frame so I couldn't get out. She had to shim it in place because somebody designed our house to be crooked and that makes my mom angry. That's another story and I'm a dog and don't care about that.
Little did she know, that it wasn't secure enough to keep me in. AND she shimmed it with cardboard and I LOVE cardboard. Also, I discovered that this cone I have to wear, bends a little. I put my paws on the baby gate and it fell over! WAHOO, I was free. Free reign on the house all afternoon. First, I zoomed around looking for humans, but there were none. Some call me Zooming Zig. Then I went upstairs and laid on my mom and dad's tall, soft bed. My cone got hung up on the side of it the first time I tried, but I made it up the second time. After a long comfortable nap, I decided to snoop around some more. The train set is all over the living room and I really wanted to chew on it, but darn that cone. I couldn't get anything in my mouth. I also can't scratch my itches!
Soon it was 5:00 and my dad was home. Boy, was he surprised to see me waiting by the back door for him. Well, as surprised as he gets. My mom, however, was shocked! She ran around the house looking for destroyed items, but there were none because I am a good boy. SQUIRREL!!!

I've lost something
I went to the vet today and they took something from me. I am so
depressed. AND HUNGRY! My mom feels real bad about it. When we left
this morning I was so excited to go to work with her rather than into
the kennel, but that's not where I went. Now I cannot lay like a frog
flying thru the air. :( Maybe mom will feed me some more in a little
bit.

Clinton Lake AKA cockle burr lake
Today, I went swimming in Clinton Lake. It was great fun. The water is alive and jumped at me. I didn't know why it was doing that. I also picked up a lot of cockle burrs when I tried to dry myself off in the grass by rolling all around in it. Later, I understood why my mom was yelling at me to stop. It took an hour to cut and comb them off of me. It was fun though and likely my last outdoor swim for the year!
